The charger allows automatic charging of all types of lead-acid batteries  

• WET wet-acid,
• GEL gel,  
• MF maintenance-free,  
• AGM with fibreglass mat,

with free electrolyte flow, intended for motor vehicles (petrol and diesel), motorcycles, motorboats, etc.

7-stage charging process ensures optimal battery charging conditions. The automatic control system adjusts each of the 7 charging stages for correct battery charging:

• STAGE 1 - diagnostics - analyses the battery and checks if it can accept charging current, prevents charging of a damaged battery
• STAGE 2 - pre-charging - low voltage batteries are pre-charged with a small current, ensuring longer battery life
• STAGE 3 - soft start - the charger gradually increases the charging current until full charging current is reached
• STAGE 4 - CC1, CC2, CC3 (Constant Current) - fast charging. The charging current is set automatically depending on the battery's state of charge
• STAGE 5 - CV (Constant Voltage) - charging to 14.6V. Designed for charging nearly fully charged batteries. It will finish charging the battery upon reaching 14.6V
• STAGE 6 - Resting - ends the charging process when the battery is fully charged
• STAGE 7 - Restoring - automatic battery monitoring. The charging process will resume when the battery voltage drops below 12.8V (for 12V batteries). The charger will restart the charging process beginning from stage 1.

The charger housing has an IP 65 protection rating (splash-proof and dust-tight).

 

Chargers have a microprocessor control system, LED indicators showing the charger's operating status:

• SELECT switch for charging voltage 6/12 V depending on the battery's nominal voltage 3.5A - 6V and 7A - 12V
• LED Power - indicates connection of the charger to the power supply
• LED Charging - indicates the battery charging stage
• LED Charged - indicates the end of charging
• LED Error - indicates battery connection error, battery not recognised or incorrect charging voltage selection.

 

Depending on the function selected with the DISPLAY button, the digital display can indicate:

• V - battery voltage
• A - charging current supplied by the charger to the battery. The display will return after 5 seconds to displaying the battery voltage
• % - battery charge level. The display will return after 5 seconds to displaying the battery voltage.

 

 They have protection against short-circuiting of poles, overload, and reverse polarity, thermal protection in case of charger overheating, and protection against spark formation at the charger's +/- outputs
