PRAKTIK CHARGER 10 is an electronic charger for charging 6 and 12 volt lead-acid batteries:

WET (liquid - acid)
GEL (gel)
MF (maintenance free)
AGM (with glass fiber mat)
EFB (for vehicles with Start-Stop system)
The charger has a microprocessor control system, ensures automatic shutdown when the required battery voltage is reached and automatic resumption of charging when the battery voltage drops.
Each time it is switched on, the rectifier automatically sets the last saved parameters (helpful during repeated use and in the event of mains outages).
Cold battery charging function: optimises charging at very low temperatures (low temperatures can adversely affect the chemical structure of the battery components).

Charging process
The 9-step charging process ensures optimal battery charging conditions. The automatic control system will adjust each of the 9 charging stages to properly charge the battery:
STEP 1 - DIAGNOSTIC (Diagnostics) - analyzes the battery and checks if it can accept the charging current; prevents charging of a damaged battery.
STEP 2 - RECOVERY CHARGE (Pre-charge) - low voltage batteries are pre-charged with a small current but at an increased voltage; very discharged batteries can be brought back to a usable state and this ensures longer battery life, this stage is skipped if the battery is minimally discharged and in good condition.
STEP 3 - SOFT START - the rectifier gradually increases the charging current until the set charging current is reached.
STEP 4 - PULSE CHARGE (Pulse charging) - the battery is charged with pulse current (pulse fluctuations take place in the DC current range).
STEP 5 - RECONDITIONING – preparatory stage for bulk charge charging.
STEP 6 - BULK CHARGE – charging with a constant current value to the previously set voltage (14.4÷14.7V).
STEP 7 - ABSORPTION CHARGE – once the required battery charge level is reached, the battery will switch to constant voltage (CV) charging and the charging process will end.
STEP 8 - EVALUATION DIAGNOSTIC – automatic monitoring of the battery voltage after charging is completed.
STEP 9 - MAINTENANCE CHARGE – a stage that maintains the battery (float) and monitors its condition; resumes charging with a reduced current if necessary.
