Battery charger SMART CHARGER 4 LCD 6/12V 2/4A SMART4LCD
Index: SMART4LCD
Battery charger SMART CHARGER 4 LCD, charging voltage: 6/12 V, charging current: 2/4A, power supply: 230V, battery type: AGM/GEL/MF/WET
Technical Parameters
SMART CHARGE 4 LCD is an electronic charger for charging 6 and 12-volt lead-acid batteries:
WET (liquid - lead-acid)
GEL (gel)
MF (maintenance-free)
AGM (with fibreglass mat)
EFB (for vehicles with Start-Stop system)
The charger features a microprocessor control system, ensuring automatic shutdown when the required voltage is reached on the battery and automatic resumption of charging when the battery voltage drops.
Cold battery charging function: optimises charging at very low temperatures (low temperatures can adversely affect the chemical structure of battery components).
LCD Display
The chargers feature a microprocessor control system and an LCD display which greatly facilitates monitoring and adjusting charging parameters.

Charging Process
9-step charging process ensures optimal charging conditions for the battery. The automatic control system adjusts each of the 9 charging steps for correct battery charging:
- STEP 1 - Diagnostic – analyses the battery and checks if it can accept charging current; prevents charging of a damaged battery
- STEP 2 - Recovery charge – low voltage batteries are initially charged with a small current but increased voltage; very discharged batteries can be restored to usability, ensuring greater battery longevity, this step is skipped if the battery is minimally discharged and in good condition.
- STEP 3 - Soft start – the charger gradually increases the charging current to reach the set charging current
- STEP 4 - Pulse charge – the battery is charged with a pulsating current (pulse fluctuations occur within the DC current range)
- STEP 5 - Reconditioning – preparatory stage for charging in the bulk charge stage
- STEP 6 - Bulk charge – charging with a constant current value to a previously set voltage (14.4÷14.7V)
- STEP 7 - Absorption charge – after reaching the required battery charge level, it switches to constant voltage charging (CV) and the charging process ends
- STEP 8 - Evaluation diagnostic - automatic monitoring of battery voltage after completion
- STEP 9 - Maintenance charge – battery maintenance stage (float) and monitoring its condition; resumes charging with reduced current if necessary.
Physical Parameters
The charger housing has an IP 65 protection rating (splash-proof and dust-tight).
The device is equipped with protection: thermal, against sparking at the pole clamps, against pole short-circuit, overload, and reverse polarity.
Power Parameters
Single-phase 230V power supply. The device is equipped with a power plug.
Equipment
The delivery includes the device with cables. Power cable length 180 cm, pole cable length 180 cm.
