Battery charger & jump starter STARTER 540 PRO 12/24V 5/20/60A STARTER540P
Index: STARTER540P
Battery charger & jump starter STARTER 540 PRO, charging voltage: 12/24 V, starting current: 540A, charging current: 5/20/60A, power supply: 230V, battery type: AGM/EFB/GEL/LFP/MF/WET
Technical Parameters
SPRINT 540 PRO is an electronic charger for charging and starting 12 and 24-volt batteries:
WET (liquid - acid)
GEL (gel)
MF (maintenance-free)
AGM (with fibreglass mat)
EFB (for vehicles with Start-Stop system)
LFP (lithium iron phosphate)
The charger features a microprocessor control system, ensuring automatic transition to maintenance status after reaching the required voltage on the battery and automatic resumption of charging after a voltage drop on the battery.
SPRINT 540 PRO has 3 charging modes:
- GEL – gel batteries
- Lead Acid (AGM/STD) – liquid acid batteries WET, AGM, MF and EFB
- Lithium – lithium iron phosphate batteries (LiFePO4)
For each type of battery, we have the option to select the maximum charging current.
The device is equipped with a digital display, which, depending on the selected mode, can show: charging voltage or battery charge level (%).
Charging Process
9-step charging process ensures optimal charging conditions for the battery. The automatic control system adjusts each of the 9 charging steps for correct battery charging:
- STEP 1 - Diagnostic – analyses the battery and checks if it can accept charging current; prevents charging of a damaged battery
- STEP 2 - Recovery charge – low voltage batteries are initially charged with a small current but increased voltage; very discharged batteries can be restored to usability, ensuring longer battery life, the step is skipped if the battery is minimally discharged and in good condition.
- STEP 3 - Soft start – the charger gradually increases the charging current to reach the set charging current
- STEP 4 - Pulse charge – the battery is charged with a pulsating current (pulse fluctuations occur within the DC current range)
- STEP 5 - Reconditioning – preparatory step for charging in the bulk charge stage
- STEP 6 - Bulk charge – charging with a constant current value to a previously set voltage (14.4÷14.7V)
- STEP 7 - Absorption charge – after reaching the required battery charge level, it switches to constant voltage charging (CV) and the charging process ends
- STEP 8 - Evaluation diagnostic - automatic monitoring of battery voltage after charging is completed
- STEP 9 - Maintenance charge – battery maintenance stage (float) and monitoring its condition; resumes charging with reduced current if necessary.
Physical Parameters
The device is equipped with protection: thermal, against sparking on terminal clamps, against short circuiting of terminals, overload, and reverse polarity.
Power Parameters
Single-phase 230V power supply. The device is equipped with a power plug.
