Battery charger PRAKTIK CHARGER 25 LCD 12/24V 25A PCHARGE25
Index: PCHARGE25
Battery charger PRAKTIK CHARGER 25 LCD, charging voltage: 12/24 V, charging current: 25A, power supply: 230V, battery type: AGM/EFB/GEL/LiFePO4/MF/WET
PRAKTIK CHARGER 25 LCD 12/24V Lithium
PRAKTIK CHARGER 25 is an electronic charger for charging 12 and 24-volt lead-acid batteries:
- WET (liquid - acid)
- GEL (gel)
- MF (maintenance-free)
- AGM (with fibreglass mat)
- EFB (for vehicles with Start-Stop system)
and 12V lithium batteries
Li (LiFePO4)
The charger features a microprocessor control system, ensuring automatic shutdown when the required voltage is reached on the battery and automatic resumption of charging when the battery voltage drops.
Each time it is turned on, the charger automatically sets the last remembered parameters (helpful for repeated use and in case of power outages).
Cold battery charging function: optimises charging at very low temperatures (low temperatures can adversely affect the chemical structure of battery components).
Charging process
The 9-step charging process ensures optimal battery charging conditions. The automatic control system adjusts each of the 9 charging stages for correct battery charging:
STEP 1 - DIAGNOSTIC – analyses the battery and checks if it can accept charging current; prevents charging of a damaged battery.
STEP 2 - RECOVERY CHARGE – batteries with low voltage are initially charged with a small current but increased voltage; very discharged batteries can be restored to usability, ensuring longer battery life, the step is skipped if the battery is minimally discharged and in good condition.
STEP 3 - SOFT START - the charger gradually increases the charging current to reach the set charging current.
STEP 4 - PULSE CHARGE – the battery is charged with pulsed current (pulse fluctuations occur within the DC current range).
STEP 5 - RECONDITIONING – preparatory stage for charging in the bulk charge stage.
STEP 6 - BULK CHARGE – charging with a constant current value to a previously set voltage (14.4÷14.7V).
STEP 7 - ABSORPTION CHARGE – after reaching the required battery charge level, it switches to constant voltage charging (CV) and the charging process ends.
STEP 8 - EVALUATION DIAGNOSTIC – automatic monitoring of battery voltage after charging is completed.
STEP 9 - MAINTENANCE CHARGE – battery maintenance stage (float) and monitoring its condition; resumes charging with reduced current if necessary.
