SMART CHARGER 2 is an electronic charger for charging 6 and 12-volt batteries:

The charger features a microprocessor control system, the entire charging process is fully automatic. After full charging, the device will activate the maintenance function and automatically resume charging after a voltage drop on the battery.

 

Charging Process

7-step charging process ensures optimal charging conditions for the battery. The automatic control system adjusts each of the 7 charging steps for correct battery charging:

• STEP 1 - Diagnostics - analyses the battery and checks if it can accept charging current, prevents charging of a damaged battery
• STEP 2 - Pre-charging - low voltage batteries are pre-charged with a small current, ensuring longer battery life
• STEP 3 - Soft start - the charger gradually increases the charging current until full charging current is reached
• STEP 4 - CC1, CC2, CC3 (Constant Current) - fast charging. The charging current is set automatically depending on the battery's state of charge
• STEP 5 - CV (Constant Voltage) - charging to 14.6V. Designed for charging nearly fully charged batteries. It will finish charging the battery upon reaching 14.6V
• STEP 6 - Resting - ends the charging process when the battery is fully charged
• STEP 7 - Restoring - automatic battery monitoring. The charging process will resume after the battery voltage drops below 12.8V (for 12V batteries). The charger will restart the charging process beginning from step 1.

 

Physical Parameters

The device is equipped with protection: thermal, against sparking on terminal clamps, against short-circuiting of poles, overload, and reverse polarity.

The charger's housing has an IP44 protection rating.
