The professional, automatic, portable battery tester from BOSCH, model BAT 131, is recommended for service workshops and fleet management companies. It is optimally suited for testing 6 and 12-volt batteries (lead-acid, gel, AGM). The cold cranking current can be set in the range of 100 – 2,000 A according to CCA, JIS, SAE, EN, DIN, and IEC standards. The test performed without load quickly provides accurate and reliable measurement results.
The clear panel allows for easy and intuitive operation, enabling a quick assessment of whether the battery is damaged or just needs charging. The optimized algorithm allows for testing of factory-new batteries. The device allows for an extended test of the starting/charging system for 12 and 24-volt batteries. The possibility of using optional current clamps further improves measurement results.
The integrated printer allows for a graphical presentation of the test result and handing the results to the customer. The USB port is used to save test results (up to 100 results) and to update the software. The device is equipped with a replaceable 3 m cable, enabling diagnostic work on starters/alternators.
