Battery tester 802665
Index: 802665
Battery tester conductance DTS700, 12V, 185-1125 EN, tested battery type: AGM, GEL, SLI, VRLA, charging system test, starter test
Digital tester designed for lead-acid batteries, allows verification of:
- the state of charge and starting ability of 12V lead-acid batteries used in vehicles (BATTERY TEST)
- the functioning of the vehicle's starting system (STARTING SYSTEM TEST)
- the functioning of the charging circuit in the vehicle (CHARGING SYSTEM TEST)
The lowest and highest starting current values (CCA) that can be tested:
- EN: 185 ÷ 1125 A
- IEC: 130 ÷ 790 A
- DIN: 110 ÷ 670 A
- SAE: 200 ÷ 1200 A
- CA (MCA): 240 ÷ 1440 A
The ambient temperature allowing proper use of the tester is between 0°C and 40°C.
Selection of battery type: SEAL (maintenance-free sealed batteries of VRLA/GEL/AGM type) or SLI (lead-acid batteries).
Selection of battery standard: EN, IEC, DIN, SAE or CA (MCA).
As a result of the BATTERY TEST, the actual starting current value is given along with LED indication of one of the states:
- the battery is good and charged
- the battery is good but requires recharging
- the battery is discharged and its state cannot be determined. Recharge and check again
- the battery cannot hold a charge or there is a short circuit in one cell and it should be replaced immediately
- measurement error: incorrect connection or the tested battery has a starting current greater than the maximum allowed by the tester
As a result of the STARTING SYSTEM TEST, the lowest battery voltage obtained during starting is given along with LED indication of one of the states:
- the starting system is OK
- the starting system is weak. Check installation components (starter, connections, incorrectly selected battery, etc.)
- the starting system is unsatisfactory. Check installation components (starter, connections, incorrectly selected battery, etc.)
As a result of the CHARGING SYSTEM TEST, the battery voltage is given along with LED indication of one of the states:
- the charging system is OK
- the charging voltage is high, check the voltage regulator
- the charging voltage is low, check connections, wires, and alternator
