The 2.1 ATE wheel hub cleaning kit is an excellent tool for quick, effective, and economical cleaning of wheel hubs and studs. The shaped connection between the mount and the cleaning disc allows for the transmission of high torques. Before mounting the brake disc, the hub contact surface should be cleaned to achieve metallic cleanliness. Only in this way can assembly tolerances be maintained and lateral runout of the discs avoided. The 2.1 ATE wheel hub cleaning kit consists of an aluminum disc holder, which is attached to a drill. The cleaning discs, included in the kit in two sizes, are held in place by a Velcro closure. The force is transferred from the holder to the cleaning disc through an octagonal shaped connection, allowing for the transmission of high torques. The hole in the central part of the disc ensures the tool is guided on the wheel stud, effectively preventing it from slipping and guaranteeing optimal cleaning around the stud. The cleaning process itself takes no more than 10 seconds per wheel stud. Since the cleaning disc adheres to the entire surface of the wheel hub, it lasts for approximately 400 applications.
