NVH kit for measuring vibration for oscilloscope PICO PQ126
Index: PICO PQ126
NVH kit connector: BNC for measuring vibration, intended use: for oscilloscope PICO 4425A/4225A/4425
The NVH Diagnostic Kit in a case provides the hardware and software needed to use PicoScope for noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) analysis.
The kit can be used for detecting, among others:
- Cabin vibrations while driving
- Engine vibrations across the entire RPM range
- Clutch pedal vibrations
- Gearbox vibrations
Connect the Pico 3-axis accelerometer to the vehicle and use the software to display a real-time bar graph for each type of vibration (T-T, E-engine, P-Propshaft) in three different planes. Once the type of vibration and the plane it occurs in are determined, use the Pico NVH Assist tool to review the list of most likely causes, then focus your efforts on those systems and components. For example, if "T" type vibrations occur in the "lateral" plane, the reason may be tyres and related elements; if "E" type vibrations occur in the "vertical" plane, unbalanced tyres may be due to an unstably mounted engine.
Analysis files can be recorded for playback, saved for future reference, and printed to explain diagnosis and repair to the customer.
Requirements to run Pico NVH
The NVH interface module connects to PicoScope Automotive (sold separately) via a BNC cable and uses the free PicoDiagnostics NVH software.
Required software: Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10 (not Windows RT) to run the free PicoDiagnostics NVH software.
The kit includes both a 3-axis accelerometer and a microphone, as well as:
3-output NVH interface module
MEMS accelerometer (TA143)
Mounting magnet for accelerometer (TA096)
Microphone: (TA144)
Cable: NVH module to scope, 0.5m blue (TA243)
Cable: NVH module to scope, 0.5m red (TA244)
Cable: NVH module to scope, 0.5m green (TA245)
Sensor extension lead (3 meters) (TA145)
Software: NVH license for one PicoScope module, non-transferable
