Brake Bleeding Device FB 30 SR with a 30l capacity and integrated suction system
Replacing brake fluid in modern cars with an electronic braking system requires the use of modern service devices. Thanks to the innovative "electronic pressure regulation" (EDR) technology with variable and defined pressure levels and an integrated suction system, the new ATE FB 30 SR device sets new standards among brake filling and bleeding devices.
The centrally located, ergonomic control panel allows for regulating the operation of the ATE FB 30 SR between suction and filling/bleeding functions. Indicator lights show the selected function. All functions are clearly arranged on the control panel. Three pressure levels are available for filling, rinsing, and bleeding the brake system: 0.4/1.0/2.2 bar. Additionally, a variable pressure function in the range of 0.4–3.5 bar is available. The selected pressure level can be controlled using a pressure gauge.
Modern low-viscosity brake fluids place high demands on brake filling and bleeding devices. Special attention was paid to safe operation with all popular DOT3 and DOT4 brake fluids when designing the ATE FB 30 SR. The ATE FB 30 SR filling and bleeding device operates directly with 5-, 20-, and 30-liter brake fluid containers, which are securely mounted using a bracket. No more time-consuming pouring of brake fluid. In addition to ATE brake fluid containers, other market-available containers can also be used. A special holder ensures the secure placement of the suction lance in the container. The rubber sealing cone integrated with the vent valve allows air into the container only when the brake fluid is being drawn. This prevents uncontrolled air intake into the container. When the brake fluid container is empty, the ATE FB 30 SR device automatically shuts off, ensuring that no air is forced into the brake system. A clear audible signal and indicator light notify the need to change the container.
Professional brake fluid replacement also includes cleaning the expansion tank. For this purpose, the old, contaminated brake fluid is suctioned from the expansion tank. An integrated, independent, and exceptionally durable pump is used for suctioning the used brake fluid. Thanks to the extendable (approx. 3 meters) spiral hose and long suction lance, even hard-to-reach expansion tanks can be easily emptied. The filter built into the suction hose protects the suction pump from larger contaminants. The suctioned brake fluid is collected in a transparent 2.2-liter collection bottle. This bottle is adapted to the ATE disposal system and can therefore be easily emptied. It is also possible to empty the bottle conventionally through the cap.
A special base plate prevents unsightly scratches caused by the brake fluid container. Practical holders for the filling hose and power cable are located on the side of the ATE FB 30 SR, with three holders for vent caps on each side. The device features a practical tray for storing small parts and tools. Large front wheels and swivel rear wheels combined with an ergonomic handle ensure convenient and safe positioning of the ATE FB 30 SR device, even with a full 30-liter container. The ATE FB 30 SR device is delivered with vent cap no. 20 (European cap).
