Head gasket leak detector (for detecting head leaks)
The device allows for easy diagnosis and quick detection of head gasket damage. In the case of a damaged head gasket or the head itself, some exhaust gases, including CO2, enter the cooling system. The principle of operation of the device is based on measuring the CO2 content in the cooling system. The reaction fluid in the tester chamber will react with the gases from the cooling system and will change colour if there is an increased CO2 content. The dual-chamber design of the device (with a filter between the chambers) allows for the separation of residues in the first chamber (e.g., coolant droplets) that could negatively affect the test result.
Note: During the check, the radiator temperature is very high. Special caution should be exercised!
The reaction fluid may cause skin and eye irritation. In case of contact with skin or eyes, rinse with plenty of water. Use protective goggles.
