The HSS Cobalt twist drill is characterised by a very long service life when drilling in stainless steel. The 5% cobalt and ground HSS (high-speed steel) alloy provides longer service life, excellent surface finish quality, greater wear resistance, and protection against overheating. Two cutting edges and two flutes allow for rapid chip removal and extend the drill's service life. The drill is intended for drilling alloyed and unalloyed steel, stainless steel, cast iron, cast steel, and steel resistant to acid and high temperatures. The drill is equipped with a cylindrical shank (shank equal to the drill diameter) and is intended for use with stationary drills and screwdrivers. The HSS Cobalt twist drill is manufactured in accordance with DIN 338 standard. Drill type N (point angle) with a 135-degree tip and h8 diameter tolerance. Active cutting and excellent centring without the drill slipping on the surface thanks to the ground cross-tip.
