Gas detector DGN 7A
GAS DETECTOR DGN-7A
(explosive gases)
The portable gas detector DGN–7A is a professional device designed for checking the tightness of gas installations in buildings, cars, yachts, gas stoves, heating systems, etc. The meter provides high accuracy of indications.
The device uses a high-quality semiconductor sensor TGS 2611 from the Japanese company FIGARO, which detects natural gas (methane, ethane), LPG (propane, butane). The sensor structure contains a heater that causes rapid evaporation of the gas that has penetrated it during measurement.
SET CONTENTS

- sensitivity adjustment possible
APPLICATION
- Checking installation tightness
- urban gas network
- in cars
- vehicle inspection stations
- in residential buildings
- heating systems
- industrial facilities
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- The product has a CE certificate and a legalization certificate
| RANGE | % LEL | TYPE OF SIGNALING |
| 1 | 0 | Green LED |
| 2 | 0.1 | Yellow LED |
| 3 | 1 | Yellow LED |
| 4 | 5 | Red LED, quiet sound |
| 5 | 10 | Red LED, loud sound |
Using the potentiometer with a switch, you can adjust the detector's sensitivity and turn on the LED flashlight, illuminating the measurement site.
Functions of the potentiometer with a switch (view from the front of the knob):
- Potentiometer switch off – flashlight off; detector indications are consistent with the values on the display.
- Potentiometer switch on – flashlight on; detector indications are consistent with the values on the display.
- Turning the knob to the right – flashlight on; causes a decrease in detector sensitivity
If the sensitivity decrease occurred while the detector is off, the detector indications are consistent with the values on the display.
CHARGING AND BATTERIES
The meter is powered by 4 AA type batteries, 1.2V/2500mAh. The battery status is indicated by an additional LED. When the batteries are discharged, the aforementioned LED may not light up.
- The LED lights up when the batteries have low voltage. In this state, the detector can continue to operate until the batteries are exhausted.
- The batteries are charged using a charger (included in the set), connected to the meter's power socket. The manufacturer also provides an adapter that allows charging from a car cigarette lighter socket.
- During charging, a red LED located next to the power socket lights up.
- The batteries should be charged for 10-12 hours. After charging, the LED does not go out.
- Overcharging is not a risk because the detector has a built-in current limiting element.
- During charging, the battery temperature rises to safe limits.
- It is recommended that the detector be turned off during charging.
- Fully charged batteries have a total voltage in the range of 5.2 – 5.6V.
- Charging the above-described batteries is prohibited.
