Bimetal Cobalt HOLE DOZER™ Hole Saws
- The latest technology ensures maximum performance.
- Tooth design – variable tooth count design 4-6 teeth per inch with a positive 10° tooth angle provides the following benefits: - Faster and more aggressive cutting. - Higher heat dissipation during cutting – teeth stay sharp longer. - Deeper, curved gullets between teeth provide more effective chip removal, preventing clogging and temperature rise. - Specially selected tooth angle shows less tendency to tear thinner materials. - Teeth are alternately set, minimising stickiness and friction. - Low feed pressure – achieved through the combination of aggressive tooth geometry and effective chip removal, resulting in less force needed during drilling.
- Tooth material - the best Matrix II high-speed steel is used on the toothed section of the hole saw. Matrix II steel contains 8% cobalt, allowing the teeth to retain their initial hardness longer, even at high working temperatures during metal cutting. - Bimetal construction – high-speed steel teeth are laser welded to a high-alloy steel body. The teeth are then vacuum hardened to 65 HRC at 600°C to provide maximum durability and usability. - Due to the high abrasion resistance of Matrix II steel, these saws are ideal for cutting difficult and hard materials such as stainless steel and acid-resistant steel, as well as for cutting softer materials, e.g., wood.
- Hole saw body - the hole saw body made of 1.27 mm thick steel is rigid – retains shape but also shows flexibility. - Effective cutting depth is 41 mm.
- Back plate design - back plates are made of thick steel, ensuring holes do not enlarge over time. - Thick backs increase strength and rigidity, minimising vibrations. - 4 holes with guide pins facilitate arbor placement. - Perfectly crafted round back plate, especially important in larger diameter hole saws.
- Angled slots help in removing and ejecting the core.
- Application - high-quality production techniques ensure high rotational precision, making these hole saws suitable for use in both hand-held and stand-mounted drills (manual feed only).
- - This range of high-quality hole saws is an excellent solution for cutting all types of materials: - Steel up to 1000 N/mm² hardness - stainless steel and acid-resistant steel - non-ferrous metals - cast iron - aluminium - wood - medium density fibreglass - plasterboard - composite materials - PVC
