Paint MS transparent MF 15379
Index: MF 15379
Paint transparent (5 l), MS, volatile organic compounds: 420, proportions: 2:1, application type: gun
Description
Colourless 2-component acrylic lacquer designed for automotive painting. The lacquer forms a hard coating with high gloss and increased scratch resistance (SR). Simple mixing of components without the need to add thinner and easy application make it a lacquer with very versatile use. Availability of 3 hardener versions (standard, fast, slow) allows work in different temperature conditions.
EFFICIENCY:
1 litre of mixture is sufficient to paint 9 m2 of surface with a layer thickness of 50 μm.
Advantages
- High gloss.
- Ready to use without the addition of thinner.
- Easy application and universal use.
- Hard and durable coating.
- Good flow.
- High scratch resistance.
Substrates
DIAMENT MS 2:1 2-component Acrylic Lacquer can be applied on:
Body paint repairs that require a durable finish.
- Mixing ratios by volume
Paint: 2
Hardener: 1
Thinner: 0%
- Spray viscosity
16÷17 seconds at 20°C
- Pot life
approximately 5 hours at 20ºC
- Number of coats
2-3 full coats, approx. 40 µm dry film thickness.
Parameters for RP gun
Nozzle: 1.3÷1.4 mm; Inlet pressure: 2.0÷2.2 bar.
Parameters for HVLP gun
Nozzle: 1.3÷1.4 mm; Inlet pressure: 2.0 bar.
- Flash-off time
Between coats: approximately 5 minutes
Before baking: approximately 10 minutes
- Curing time
Curing time at 20ºC
Dust-free: after approximately 35-40 minutes.
Ready for polishing: after drying overnight.
Curing time at object temperature 60°C
Paint ready for polishing after approximately 30 minutes of baking and cooling the coating (approximately 2 hours).
Temperature below 20ºC significantly extends drying time.
- IR drying
15÷20 minutes of short waves, depending on the layer thickness and type of radiator.
Do not exceed a temperature of 60ºC.
Use according to the equipment manufacturer's recommendations.
Wait approximately 10 minutes before starting IR drying.
- Coverage
1 litre of mixture is sufficient to paint 9 m2 of surface with a 50 μm thick layer.
- Blending
Ensure you cover the entire area of the base coat and blend only on the prepared area. Use FADE OUT THINNER to blend overspray settling around the repaired area and to eliminate optical gloss differences at the junction of the old paint layer and the newly applied acrylic paint.
- Polishing and removing inclusions
Polishing is usually not necessary, as DIAMENT clear coat provides an excellent finish immediately after application. If dirt inclusions occur, it is recommended to remove them and then polish with a polishing compound.
- General notes
- Do not exceed the recommended amounts of hardener!
- The best results are achieved by painting at room temperature. The ambient temperature and the temperature of the product being applied should be similar.
- When working with 2-component products, it is recommended to use personal protective equipment. Protect eyes and respiratory system.
- Rooms should be well ventilated.
- Tools should be cleaned immediately after application.
Note: For safety, always follow the instructions in the product's MSDS sheet.
