The VNTT-PRO device is intended for testing the operation of electronic turbocharger controllers. What is the VNTT-PRO tester used for? 
The VNTT-PRO tester is used for diagnosing controllers (electronic valves, actuators) of turbochargers with Variable Nozzle Turbine (VNT) geometry. These controllers are designed to change the position of the variable geometry blades in the same way as in turbochargers where the geometry was changed using vacuum. 

Many car manufacturers use the same controllers to control other engine components, such as intake flaps or EGR valves. In these cases, the VNTT-PRO tester can also be used to check their operation. 

Which turbocharger controllers does the VNTT-PRO tester support? 
The tester supports controllers from manufacturers such as HELLA, SIEMENS, MITSUBISHI. They constitute a significant portion of the controllers currently used in the automotive industry. 

Since when and in which brands have turbocharger controllers been used? 
Turbochargers with controllers have been commonly used under the hoods of cars since 2003 and are widely used in cars from manufacturers such as Audi, VW, Mercedes, BMW, Ford, Jaguar, Jeep Chrysler, and others. 

What can I check with the VNTT-PRO tester? 
The VNTT-PRO tester allows checking the smoothness of the controller lever movement, the range of lever movement, mechanical components, and the controller's electronics. The tester can also check the DC motor used in turbocharger controllers to change the lever position.

According to turbocharger manufacturers, the controller is an integral part of the turbine and as such is not subject to repair or replacement, only with the entire turbine. The tester makes it possible to determine, sometimes a very trivial cause of turbocharging failure and attempt a repair. 

Who is the VNTT-PRO tester intended for? 
The VNTT-PRO tester can be successfully used in companies dealing with turbocharger regeneration as well as in car workshops offering a wide range of repairs to diagnose turbocharger faults.

 
Does the tester have original connectors for the controllers? 
The tester has original connectors for HELLA, SIEMENS BorgWarner, and MITSUBISHI controllers. 

In the case of SIEMENS controllers intended for IHI turbochargers, the connector used to connect the turbocharger controller is terminated with universal ends. The connection description for SIEMENS controllers is included in the tester's manual. 

The VNTT-PRO tester tolerates supply voltages in the range of 11...15V. The power source should have a current capacity of at least 4A.

The set includes a stabilised power supply intended for powering the tester.
