Tread control scanner

Description

Handheld scanner for tyre tread examination and inspection TreadReader

A new definition of tyre measurement

Eliminate errors with TreadReaderT

Compact and lightweight, the TreadReaderTM HandHeld can improve the quality of measured tyres by eliminating errors and uncertainty. Simply run the device over the tread surface to obtain accurate information about the tyre condition and print a report to explain the data to the customer.

The TreadReaderTM handheld scanner is easy to use and ideally suited for all tyre inspection applications in workshops, service centres, vehicle inspection stations, vehicle depots, by mobile tyre services, and for roadside checks. TreadReaderTM is suitable for inspecting vehicles in the largest quantities and can be used both in open spaces and in more confined workshop environments.

Measure 300,000 points in 6 seconds

Each tyre scan is based on up to 300,000 measurement points and is used to calculate tread depth with an accuracy of <0.2 mm or 0.008”. 3D models of the tyre tread and calculated depths can be instantly displayed on a smartphone or tablet; a PDF report is immediately generated, containing vehicle identification, 3D tyre scans with colour-coded tread condition warnings and error alerts for each axle/tyre position, the report can be printed or emailed, increasing customer confidence.

Sell safer driving

Tyre condition has a huge impact on road grip; by optimising the tyre replacement time, TreadReaderTM maximises safety conditions and ensures compliance with the statutory tread depth or tyre replacement policy. Detailed 3D images show information with absolute clarity, leaving no doubt. Increase your revenue with TreadReaderTM by deepening knowledge about tyre safety conditions, showing customers the need for tyre replacement or wheel alignment.

Not just passenger cars

Accurate tread depth reading for passenger cars, minibuses, trailers, light commercial vehicles.

TreadReaderTM can detect uneven wear, which is a symptom of issues such as worn suspensions, and the calculated data can be imported into various fleet management systems for wear analysis or tyre life modelling.

App and TreadManager:

Connect, view, share and integrate The user-friendly TreadReaderTM app will guide you through the scanning process. In a few steps, you will pair the scanner with a mobile device, set details, perform scanning and access saved data. The TreadReaderTM app can be downloaded from the main app store.

Fully integrated with any TreadReaderTM product, TreadManagerTM is a cloud-based tyre management platform designed to enhance service efficiency and increase sales. It stores scan, car, and tyre data professionally, also allowing service workshop managers to visualise reports  on the number of scanned vehicles, work performed

services, as well as tyre sales and wheel alignment opportunities.

On a stationary monitor or tablet, you can easily share reports with customers, highlighting tyre replacement or authorisation of related services. Predict tyre life and build customer trust by helping them make informed decisions about tyre replacement.

TreadReaderTM integrates with major electronic vehicle condition inspection solutions, increasing workshop efficiency and profitability. Additional software integration is also available.

Features and Benefits

Always connected. Unlike other products, the TreadReaderTM HandHeld does not require a Wi-Fi connection at the time of scanning, you can easily pair it with a mobile device, view data, and upload information to TreadManagerTM when Wi-Fi is available.

Dirty or wet tyres? No problem! TreadReaderTM readings are exceptionally accurate and are not affected by dirt or water.

Try scanning! The quick scan mode allows you to scan one tyre without the need to enter a registration number. Show the customer how tread measurement and tyre diagnostics work.

Customise your system. Set up the scanner configuration that suits you best by providing location, tread measurement system (inches or mm), mileage (miles or km), scanning direction / first tyre. The LED panel allows you to identify the scanner status.

Accuracy through calibration. Checking the scanner calibration is simple and quick, requiring only a few steps and taking less than a minute.

Different users, different needs. TreadManagerTM allows you to set up different user profiles (group administrator, workshop administrator, staff); each profile is provided with more or less comprehensive control and information, helping to avoid user errors when managing data.
