The fuel hose features a high temperature tolerance from -30°C to +100°C, and in extreme situations, even up to 125°C. The hoses can be rubber with an internal textile braid or rubber with an internal or external metal braid. The hose is also highly resistant to weather conditions.
The fuel hose can be damaged by mechanical factors such as the undercarriage hitting sharp ground elements or simply wearing out after several years. The main symptoms are fuel stains under the car and the smell of petrol inside the car. The hose should be replaced immediately upon noticing the first symptoms, as its failure may pose a fire hazard.
