Description
2-component filler primer designed for car body repairs.
Advantages

Substrates
- HS 5:1 Acrylic Primer can be applied directly to:
- Steel and aluminium after matting and degreasing.
- Sanded polyester-glass laminates (GFK/GRP).
- Polyester fillers.
- Epoxy primers.
- Reactive primers.
- Old coatings in good condition after matting and degreasing.
Good surface preparation is necessary to achieve the best repair results

- Mixing ratio by volume
Primer: 5
Hardener: 1
Thinner max: 25÷30%
- Spray viscosity
30÷50 seconds at 20°C
- Pot life
about 1h at 20°C
- Number of layers
2÷3 layers
Parameters for RP gun
Nozzle: 1.6÷2.0 mm; Inlet pressure: 2.0÷2.2 bar
Parameters for HVLP gun
Nozzle: 1.5÷1.9 mm; Inlet pressure: 2.0 bar.
- Flash-off time
Between layers: about 5 minutes
Before baking: about 10 minutes
Flash-off time depends on temperature and layer thickness.
- Curing time
about 3÷4 hours at 20°C
about 30 minutes at 60°C
Temperature below 20°C significantly extends curing time.
- IR drying
10÷15 minutes of short waves for thickness 150÷200 µm.
Do not exceed 60°C.
Use according to the equipment manufacturer's recommendations.
Wait about 10 minutes before starting IR drying.
- Dry sanding
Machine sanding: P360÷P500.
Hand sanding: P280÷P320.
- Wet sanding
Machine sanding: P600÷P1000.
Hand sanding: P800÷P1000.
- Further work
- 2-component topcoats.
- 1-component basecoats.
On 2-component acrylic primers, you can directly apply:
- General notes
- Do not exceed the recommended amount of hardener!
- The best results are achieved by painting at room temperature. The ambient temperature and the temperature of the applied product should be similar.
- When working with 2-component products, it is recommended to use personal protective equipment. Protect eyes and respiratory tract.
- Rooms should be well ventilated.
- Tools should be cleaned immediately after application.
