Hose skinning machine manual
Index: SAMWAY S51M
Hose skinning machine Manual, S51, operation rage from: 16mm, operation range to: 51mm, inch size: 2"
Manual skiving tool for cutting 2" hoses (economical) S51M
The device allows for skiving, which is the stripping of the outer surface of hydraulic hoses.
Hose skiving is required when crimping hoses for high pressures (multi-spiral hoses 4SP, 4SH).
The skiving tool allows for external and internal stripping of the hose surface.
The set includes special mandrels for external skiving from 3/8" to 2".
It is possible to purchase skiving mandrels intended for internal skiving - designed for 4SH INTERLOCK ends.
Internal skiving mandrels can be purchased from size DN16 (5/8") to DN50 (2").
We skive hydraulic hoses to the steel braid.
Why skive hoses?
We skive hoses to better secure the fitting from slipping out of the hose.
The crimp sleeve directly crimped on the braid better "holds" the hose fitting, thus the connection between the fitting and the hose is better and more secure.
The skiving tool is useful in every crimping workshop.
Manual skiving tool operation:
place the skiving tool in a vice
install the skiving pin (depending on the hose size)
place the hose to be skived on the pin
use an Allen key to change the position of the skiving tool's blade
hold the hose and turn the skiving tool handle
