Lights adjusting/regulation device Analogue / mirror baseline projector FUDIM/USP-20PLU
Index: FUDIM/USP-20PLU
Lights adjusting/regulation device Analogue / mirror baseline projector USP-20PLU, supported light sources: Bi-Xenon; Halogen; Xenon
Device for measuring the alignment and brightness of vehicle lighting
Type USP–20
The optical device allows for the measurement of the brightness of vehicle lighting of all types and assists in their alignment. It is equipped with a head with a photometric system, which allows for the measurement of the intensity of light (or brightness measurement) of high beam or dipped beam lights.
Important for Vehicle Inspection Stations
In our devices, the measurement of high beam brightness is performed in units [kcd], which is in accordance with point 4.1.7 of Annex No. 1 to the regulation of the Ministry of Transport, Construction and Maritime Economy of 26 June 2012 (Journal of Laws, item 996) regarding the scope and method of conducting technical inspections and the templates of documents used in these inspections.
Construction description
The device consists of a head (also containing a photometric system) equipped with a slider, a cart with a post, and a base projector depending on the variant of the device:
PLU – mirror base projector
Measurement method
The device is moved to the car positioned at the station and aligned with the optical axis parallel to the plane of symmetry of the car using, depending on the variant of the device:
– PLU – line painted on the horizontal axis of the mirror
The role of a normal wall screen located 10 m away is fulfilled by the device's screen. The focusing lens allows for reducing the distance between the screen and the tested headlight to ~0.8 m. The applied leveling corrector (foot-operated) and spirit level allow for precise light alignment even with slight unevenness of the station.
