TIG welder EXPERT TIG 220 AC/DC PULSE PFC
Index: EXTIG220AC/Z
TIG welder EXPERT TIG 220 AC/DC PULSE PFC inverter, for aluminium, 5kW, maximum current: 220A
EXPERT TIG 220 AC/DC PULSE PFC
It is a portable power source, made with IGBT technology, designed for welding using the TIG and TIG PULSE methods with alternating current (AC), direct current (DC), and MMA method with a coated electrode using direct current (DC).
Its small size and weight make the device perfect for both workshop and field work.
CHARACTERISTICS:
- The device has welding modes: TIG DC, TIG DC PULSE, TIG AC, TIG AC PULSE, MMA.
- The TIG DC and TIG DC PULSE functions are used for welding stainless steel, carbon and low-alloy steels, copper, and titanium.
- The TIG AC and TIG AC PULSE functions: allow welding of aluminium and its alloys, as well as brass.
- Thanks to the adjustment of TIG PULSE pulsed welding parameters, we can influence the shape of the weld and the focus of the arc. Pulsed welding also allows reducing the amount of heat delivered to the material and is used when welding thin materials.
- Arc ignition occurs in non-contact (HF) or contact (LIFT) mode. The LIFT function is used when welding in environments with a high risk of electromagnetic interference affecting the surroundings.
- Both with non-contact HF ignition and contact LIFT ignition, we have the option to select the button function on the TIG torch between 2-stroke or 4-stroke mode (button lock for long welds).
- A clear and easy-to-use digital control panel allows precise device adjustment, ensuring stable parameters and high welding quality.
- PFC (Power Factor Correction) – increased power factor, 30% lower current consumption from the power grid.
- The device has 9 user welding program storage slots.
- Digital displays facilitate the adjustment of welder parameters:
- initial shielding gas flow
- initial current
- current rise time
- welding current
- base current
- current fall time
- final current
- final shielding gas flow
- pulse length
- pulse frequency
- AC balance
- AC frequency
- HOT START value
- ARC FORCE value
- From the control panel, we can select the AC voltage waveform:
- TIG AC – triangular voltage waveform
- TIG AC – rectangular voltage waveform
- TIG AC – sinusoidal voltage waveform
- The welder also has functions that facilitate the MMA shielded electrode welding process:
- ARC FORCE: short-circuit current adjustment (manual) - facilitates the transfer of the molten electrode drop to the welded material, preventing arc extinction when the electrode drop contacts the weld pool
- HOT START: hot start adjustment (manual) - facilitates electrode ignition by providing a higher welding current at each arc ignition.
- ANTI STICK: anti-short-circuit - automatically switches off the welding voltage if the electrode sticks to the welded material, making it easier to detach and preventing accidental arc formation
MAIN FEATURES:
- Physical parameters:
- The device has a fan cooling system which significantly increases its efficiency.
- The quick coupling for connecting the gas to the welding torch allows for immediate connection and disconnection of the welding torch without the use of tools.
- The device is equipped with overload protection, which increases its reliability.
- Power parameters:
- Single-phase 230V power supply. The device is equipped with a power plug.
- Equipment:
- The delivery includes the device with a 3m long ground cable.
Warranty conditions:
12-month warranty for professional use. Warranty service is provided in a door-to-door system without transport costs for the user.
