EXPERT TIG 222 AC/DC PFC PULSE Pro5 LCD W
Basic Information
EXPERT TIG 222 AC/DC PFC PULSE Pro5 LCD W is a professional source for TIG welding of all metals, including aluminium and stainless steel. The device allows TIG and TIG PULSE welding with alternating current (AC), direct current (DC), and MMA.
Technical Specifications
EXPERT TIG 222 AC/DC PFC PULSE Pro5 LCD W is a portable power source, made with IGBT technology, designed for TIG and TIG PULSE welding with alternating current (AC), direct current (DC), and MMA welding with a coated electrode using direct current (DC). Its small size and weight make the device perfect for both workshop and fieldwork.
The device has welding modes: TIG DC, TIG DC PULSE, TIG AC, TIG AC PULSE, TIG SPOT, MULTITACK, TIG MIX, TIG RPT, MMA AC, MMA DC, MMA PULSE.
The TIG DC and TIG DC PULSE functions are used for welding stainless steel, carbon and low-alloy steels, copper, and titanium.
The TIG AC and TIG AC PULSE functions allow welding of aluminium and its alloys, as well as brass.
The TIG SPOT function allows for tacking thin materials.
The MULTITACK function – intermittent welding, a function that allows so-called "cold welding"; adjustment of the weld frequency in the range of 0.5÷6.0Hz
The DYNAMIC ARC function – a function that allows "tuning" of the welding arc to ensure a constant weld width
The TIG MIX function: a special TIG welding method that combines direct and alternating current, allowing for full penetration and effective cleaning during aluminium welding.
Thanks to the adjustment of the pulsed welding parameters TIG PULSE, we can influence the shape of the weld and the focus of the arc. Pulsed welding also allows reducing the amount of heat delivered to the material and is used when welding thin materials.
Arc ignition occurs in a non-contact (HF) or contact (LIFT) mode. The LIFT function is used when welding in an environment with a high risk of electromagnetic interference affecting the surroundings.
Both with non-contact HF and contact LIFT ignition, we have the option to choose the function of the button on the TIG torch between working in 2-stroke, 4-stroke mode (button lock for long welds), and two-level RPT mode (switching between two current levels). Additionally, only for TIG HF, there is also the possibility of spot welding (SPOT).
A clear and easy-to-use touch LCD screen allows precise device adjustment, ensuring stable parameters and high welding quality. The source also has extended user settings, such as screen brightness level, date setting, and fan operation in semi-passive mode (SMART).
The source also has full synergy in each method, extended with a special TIG method mode (SMART TIG). It allows the selection of initial welding parameters, under which the source will set the output parameters.
The LCD display facilitates the adjustment of device parameters:
- initial shielding gas flow
- initial current
- current rise time
- welding current
- base current
- current fall time
- final current
- final shielding gas flow
- pulse width
- pulse frequency
- AC balance
- AC frequency
- HOT START value
- ARC FORCE value
From the control panel, we can select the AC voltage waveform:
- TIG AC – rectangular voltage waveform
- TIG AC – sinusoidal voltage waveform
- TIG AC – triangular voltage waveform
Additionally, the MultiWAVE function allows setting a characteristic consisting of two curves.
The welder also has functions that facilitate the MMA welding process with a coated electrode:
ARC FORCE: short-circuit current adjustment - facilitates the transfer of the molten electrode drop to the welded material, preventing the arc from extinguishing when the electrode drop contacts the weld pool
HOT START: hot start adjustment - facilitates electrode ignition by providing a higher welding current at each arc ignition
ANTI STICK: anti-short-circuit - automatically turns off the welding voltage if the electrode sticks to the welded material, making it easier to detach and preventing accidental arc formation
Physical Parameters
The device has a cooler, which significantly increases its efficiency and protects the torch from overheating.
Quick connector for connecting the gas to the welding torch allows immediate connection and disconnection of the welding torch without tools.
The device is equipped with overload protection, which increases its reliability.
Power Supply Parameters
Single-phase power supply 230V.
The device is equipped with a power plug.
Equipment
The delivery includes the device with a complete set of TIG and MMA accessories: TIG 18 welding torch with remote control, 4 meters long, MMA electrode cable, 3 meters long, ground cable, 3 meters long, tilt cart, cooler, gas hose with quick connector.
Warranty Conditions
12-month warranty for professional use.
