The regeneration process and the creation of the ceramic layer take place during normal operation, without having to disassemble the drive unit. It is sufficient to add the additive into the oil (e.g. in the engine, transmission, control system). The thermodynamic processes forming on the friction surface increase the metal-ceramic layers in all spots, most significantly in the worn-out ones. This layer smooths out and covers micro-effects, scratches and warping of surfaces exposed to friction. It can be compared to micro-welding of a thin layer of material on the used spots.
