Battery charger SPRINT 20 PRO 6/12V 2/10/20A SPRINT20PRO
Index: SPRINT20PRO
Battery charger SPRINT 20 PRO, charging voltage: 6/12 V, starting current: 100A, charging current: 2/10/20A, power supply: 230V, battery type: AGM/EFB/GEL/LFP/MF/WET
Technical Parameters
SPRINT 20 PRO is an electronic charger for charging and starting 6 and 12 volt batteries:
WET (liquid - acid)
GEL (gel)
MF (maintenance-free)
AGM (with fibreglass mat)
EFB (for vehicles with Start-Stop system)
LFP (lithium iron phosphate)
The charger features a microprocessor control system, ensuring automatic transition to maintenance status after reaching the required voltage on the battery and automatic resumption of charging after a voltage drop on the battery.
SPRINT 20 PRO has 3 charging modes:
- AGM/STD – liquid acid batteries WET, AGM, MF and EFB
- GEL – gel batteries
- LFP – lithium iron phosphate batteries (LiFePO4)
For each type of battery, we have the option to select the maximum charging current or operate in automatic mode.
The device is equipped with a digital display, which depending on the selected mode can show: charging voltage, charging current or battery charge level (%).
The REPAIR function - After connecting the battery and starting the charging mode, the charger will "check" the level of battery sulphation. If the sulphation level is within the optimal range, the charger will initiate the regeneration process.
For 12 V batteries, the device also has functions:
- voltage maintenance during battery replacement (13.6V SUPPLY).
- start-up assistance (BOOST 100A).
Charging Process
9-step charging process ensures optimal battery charging conditions. The automatic control system adjusts each of the 9 charging steps for correct battery charging:
- STEP 1 - Diagnostic – analyses the battery and checks if it can accept charging current; prevents charging of a damaged battery
- STEP 2 - Recovery charge – batteries with low voltage are initially charged with a small current but increased voltage; very discharged batteries can be restored to usability, ensuring greater battery life, the step is skipped if the battery is minimally discharged and in good condition.
- STEP 3 - Soft start – the charger gradually increases the charging current to reach the set charging current
- STEP 4 - Pulse charge – the battery is charged with a pulsating current (pulse fluctuations occur within the DC current range)
- STEP 5 - Reconditioning – preparatory step for charging in the bulk charge stage
- STEP 6 - Bulk charge – charging with a constant current value to a previously set voltage (14.4÷14.7V)
- STEP 7 - Absorption charge – after reaching the required battery charge level, it switches to constant voltage charging (CV) and the charging process ends
- STEP 8 - Evaluation diagnostic - automatic monitoring of battery voltage after charging is completed
- STEP 9 - Maintenance charge – battery maintenance stage (float) and monitoring its condition; resumes charging with reduced current if necessary.
Physical Parameters
The device is equipped with protection: thermal, against sparking on the terminal clamps, against short circuiting of the poles, overload, and reverse polarity.
Power Parameters
Single-phase 230V power supply. The device is equipped with a power plug.
