DOCTOR CHARGE 50 is a multifunctional electronic charger for charging WET wet-acid, GEL gel, Lithium, AGM batteries with glass fiber mat (MF maintenance-free, spiral, for Start-Stop systems), for automatic charging and maintenance with PULSE-TRONIC technology. It is equipped with an advanced function for battery desulfation. It is very easy to use thanks to automatic recognition of the type of battery being charged and a user-friendly control panel.

The 8-stage charging process ensures optimal battery charging conditions:

TEST (control of the battery charge status, checking the correctness of the set voltage),
DESULFATION (detection and regeneration of sulphated batteries)
ANALYSIS (analysis of the battery condition allows detecting a faulty battery)
MAIN CHARGING (with maximum current to achieve an 80% charge status)
FINAL CHARGING (with decreasing current to 100% charge status)
CHECK (checking operation, verifying whether the battery maintains its charge status)
MAINTENANCE (charging with constant voltage)
PULSE (pulse regeneration).

CHARGING

CHARGE AUTO – automatic charging: automatic selection of current during charging and maintenance depending on the battery capacity
CHARGE AUTO COLD – charging function for cold batteries: optimizes charging at very low temperatures (low temperatures may adversely affect the chemical structure of the battery components)
CHARGE MANUAL – charging, manual settings: individual settings of the battery type, charging current or capacity (Ah)
MAINTAIN – maintenance charging: pulse charging using PULSE TRONIC technology
MONITOR – charging status control: continuous control of the charging phases

REGENERATION

DESULFATION – desulphation: the pulse regeneration process of sulphated batteries allows for the removal of sulphates from the lead plates and results in the recovery of the battery capacity
EQUALIZATION – equalisation: a specific function for periodic maintenance in order to restore the optimum status of WET or AGM batteries by mixing elements DIAGNOSTIC

TEST

VOLT – test of battery voltage and charge status
START – test of battery starting current (CCA)
ALTERNATOR – test of correct operation of the alternator
MEMORY – saving of last settings: each time the rectifier is switched on, it automatically sets the last memorized parameters (helpful during repeated use and during power outages)

PROTECTION – full safety and protection against reverse polarity, short-circuiting of terminals, overload and charging of faulty battery

SAVINGS – minimum power consumption, automatic shutdown after a period of inactivity

LOW VOLTAGE – charging batteries with very low initial voltage to min. 2V

CALIBRATION – calibration of output cables depending on their length guarantees optimal parameters supplied to the battery during charging and to the vehicle during diagnostics.

Thanks to the magnets screwed on the back, the device can be attached to a dedicated wall mount or any ferromagnetic surface. (The magnets and mount are not part of the standard set and are available for purchase separately)
