Battery charger EXPERT CHARGER 25 12V 25A EXCHARGE25
Index: EXCHARGE25
Battery charger EXPERT CHARGER 25, charging voltage: 12 V, charging current: 25A, power supply: 230V, battery type: AGM/CaL/EFB/GEL/LiFePO4/MF/WET
Technical Parameters
EXPERT CHARGER 25 is an electronic charger for charging 12-volt batteries:
WET (liquid - acid)
GEL (gel)
MF (maintenance-free)
AGM (with fibreglass mat)
EFB (for vehicles with Start-Stop system)
CAL (calcium)
LFP (lithium iron phosphate)
The automatic charging process is possible thanks to the microprocessor control system. Once the required voltage is reached on the battery, it switches to maintenance status and automatically resumes charging after a voltage drop on the battery.
EXPERT CHARGER 25 has 4 charging modes:
- STD – liquid acid batteries WET and MF
- AGM – AGM, gel, EFB batteries
- CAL – calcium batteries
- LiFePO4 – lithium iron phosphate batteries (LFP)
Charging Process
9-step charging process ensures optimal charging conditions for the battery. The automatic control system adjusts each of the 9 charging steps for correct battery charging:
- STEP 1 - Diagnostic – analyses the battery and checks if it can accept charging current; prevents charging of a damaged battery
- STEP 2 - Recovery charge – low voltage batteries are initially charged with a small current but increased voltage; very discharged batteries can be restored to usability, ensuring longer battery life, this step is skipped if the battery is minimally discharged and in good condition.
- STEP 3 - Soft start – the charger gradually increases the charging current to reach the set charging current
- STEP 4 - Pulse charge – the battery is charged with a pulsed current (pulse fluctuations occur within the DC current range)
- STEP 5 - Reconditioning – preparatory stage for charging in the bulk charge stage
- STEP 6 - Bulk charge – charging with a constant current value to a previously set voltage (14.4÷14.7V)
- STEP 7 - Absorption charge – after reaching the required battery charge level, it switches to constant voltage charging (CV) and the charging process ends
- STEP 8 - Evaluation diagnostic - automatic monitoring of battery voltage after charging is completed
- STEP 9 - Maintenance charge – battery maintenance stage (float) and monitoring its condition; resumes charging with reduced current if necessary.
Physical Parameters
The device is equipped with protection: thermal, against sparking at the pole clamps, against short circuiting of poles, overload, and reverse polarity.
The specially designed housing allows mounting the charger on the wall which saves valuable space in the garage or workshop.
The charging cables are 3 metres long and are equipped with an ambient temperature sensor. Its function is to adjust the appropriate voltage during charging, in relation to the ambient temperature. Only for STD, AGM, and CAL modes.
Power Parameters
Single-phase power supply 230V.
Power cable length 2m.
The device is equipped with a power plug.
