Set with structural polyester resin for manual lamination, hardener and glass mat. Intended for repairing major damage to car bodies, caravans, trailers, and yachts.
Advantages
- Very good adhesion to metal.
- Good hardness and high flexibility.
- Minimal shrinkage.
- Good sanding properties.
Substrates
The product is characterized by very good adhesion to various substrates. It can be applied to:
- Steel and aluminium after matting and degreasing.
- Galvanized steel after smoothing and degreasing.
- Sanded fibreglass (GFK/GRP), polyester fillers, acrylic and epoxy primers, and old coatings in good condition.
Note: Do not apply resin directly to primer fillers, 1K acrylic products, and nitrocellulose products.
Process:
- Prepare an appropriate piece of glass mat so that it extends about 2 cm beyond the repaired surface.
- Apply the resin mixed with hardener using a brush.
- Lay down the mat, press it, and saturate it with resin using a brush. Several layers can be applied.
- Wait about 40 minutes. The hardened laminate surface should be cleaned mechanically or even with polyester filler.
- The minimum application temperature is +10°C.
Note: Do not pour the remaining resin mixed with hardener back into the can.
Further work:
Polyester laminates can be directly covered with:
- 2K polyester fillers,
- 2K polyester spray fillers,
- 2K epoxy fillers
- 2K acrylic fillers.
- 2K epoxy fillers.
Important work information:
- Rooms should be well ventilated.
- When applying 2K products, personal protective equipment should be used. Protect eyes and respiratory system.
- Tools should be cleaned immediately after application.
