Semi-automatic welder MIG/MAG EXMULTI230V2
Index: EXMULTI230V2
Semi-automatic welder MIG/MAG, maximum welding power: 145A, rated power: 6,6kW, power supply: 230V, welding Processes: FLUX / MIG-MAG / MMA / TIG AC/DC Synergy
Technical Parameters
EXPERT MULTI 230 PFC 4in1 Pro5 is an inverter, synergic and multi-functional welding source, designed for arc welding using the MIG/MAG, FLUX, TIG and TIG PULS methods with alternating current (AC), direct current (DC), and the MMA method (shielded electrode) with direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC). The device is designed for a wide range of applications: from maintenance work to car body repairs.
EXPERT MULTI 230 is used for brazing galvanized sheets, welding stainless steel, carbon and low-alloy steels, and aluminium. Welding is performed in an inert, active gas shield or a mixture, and with reverse polarity without gas.
The TIG DC and TIG DC PULS functions are used for welding stainless steel, carbon and low-alloy steels, copper, and titanium.
The TIG AC and TIG AC PULS functions allow for welding aluminium and its alloys, as well as brass.
Thanks to the adjustment of TIG PULS pulse welding parameters, we can influence the shape of the weld and the focus of the arc. Pulse welding also allows for reducing the amount of heat delivered to the material and is applicable when welding thin materials.
Arc ignition occurs in a non-contact mode (HF) or lift mode (LIFT). The LIFT function is used when welding in environments with a high risk of electromagnetic interference affecting the surroundings.
Additionally, the source has a dedicated TIG method (SMART TIG), where the user sequentially selects basic welding parameters. Based on these, the device selects the optimal welding current parameters or shielding gas flow.
It also has a range of additional functions for use in special conditions, including: MIX AC/DC, MULTITACK, EXTRA FUSION, Q-START, DYNAMIC ARC, and MULTIWAVE (hybrid characteristics).
With the MIG/MAG method, we have the option to select the button mode on the handle, between working in SPOT (spot welding), 2-stroke (without lock), 4-stroke (button lock for long welds),S2-stroke and S4-stroke.
With the TIG method, we have the option to select the button function on the handle, between working in 2-stroke , 4-stroke , SPOT and a special mode PRT (two-level welding current).
A clear and easy-to-use 5-inch touch LCD display allows for the adjustment of welding parameters using physical buttons and knobs as well as by touch (touchscreen).
The device has a manual mode (MIG MAN) and a synergic mode (MIG SYN) with the ability to adjust:
- gas before welding
- gas after welding
- wire feed
- wire burn-back
- voltage correction
- spot welding time
- inductance
- current ramp-up/ramp-down
The touch LCD display facilitates the adjustment of TIG device parameters:
- initial shielding gas flow
- initial current
- current ramp-up/ramp-down time
- welding current
- base current
- final current
- pulse cycle
- pulse frequency
- AC balance
- AC frequency
- final shielding gas flow
Welding with the MMA (shielded electrode) method, besides selecting the type of current (DC or AC), is also possible with the pulse current function (PULSE) enabled. Additional functions include:
- HOT START
- HOT START time
- ARC FORCE
- VRD
The device has an advanced system for saving and reading welding parameters (JOB Function). This facilitates working on different materials without the need to reset the device with any changes (e.g., gas or wire).
Physical Parameters
The device has a fan cooling system which significantly increases its efficiency.
The fan cooling system - activated only when needed - reduces contamination inside the device.
The device is equipped with overload protection, over and under voltage protection, for operation with a generator (+/- 15%) which increases its reliability.
Power Parameters
Single-phase power supply 230V.
The device is equipped with a power
plug.
Equipment
The delivery includes the device with MIG 24 welding torch 3 metres long, TIG 26 torch with remote control (potentiometer) 4 metres long, and electrode and ground cables 3 metres long. Additionally, the set includes a hose with quick connector and consumable parts for the TIG 26 torch.
