EXPERT CHARGER 12 LCD 3in1 is a multifunctional electronic charger for charging and testing 12-volt batteries:

• WET (liquid - acid)
• GEL (gel)
• MF (maintenance-free)
• AGM (with fibreglass mat)
• EFB (for vehicles with Start-Stop system)
• CAL (calcium)
• LFP (lithium iron phosphate)

Additionally equipped with a function to maintain voltage during battery replacement  (SAVE).

Microprocessor control system ensures an automatic charging process. Once the required voltage is reached on the battery, it switches to maintenance status  and automatically resumes charging after a voltage drop on the battery.

EXPERT CHARGER 12 LCD has 4 charging modes :  

• STD – acid liquid batteries WET and MF (additional winter mode)
• AGM – AGM batteries, gel, EFB (additional winter mode)
• CAL – calcium batteries
• LiFePO4 – lithium iron phosphate batteries (LFP)

Cold battery charging function: optimises charging at very low temperatures (low temperatures can adversely affect the chemical structure of battery components).

The device allows verification of:

• the state of charge of the battery and the starting ability of 12V batteries used in vehicles (BATTERY TEST)
• the operation of the 12V vehicle starting system (START TEST)
• the operation of the 12V vehicle charging circuit (ALTERNATOR TEST)

Charging process

9-stage charging process ensures optimal battery charging conditions. The automatic control system adjusts each of the 9 charging stages for correct battery charging:

• STAGE 1 - Diagnostic (Diagnostics) – analyses the battery and checks if it can accept charging current; prevents charging of a damaged battery
• STAGE 2 - Recovery charge (Pre-charge) – low voltage batteries are pre-charged with a small current but increased voltage; very discharged batteries can be restored to usability, ensuring longer battery life, the stage is skipped if the battery is minimally discharged and in good condition.
• STAGE 3 - Soft start (Soft start) – the charger gradually increases the charging current to reach the set charging current
• STAGE 4 - Pulse charge (Pulse charging) – the battery is charged with a pulsed current (pulse fluctuations occur within the DC current range)
• STAGE 5 - Reconditioning – preparatory stage for charging in the bulk charge stage
• STAGE 6 - Bulk charge – charging with a constant current value to a previously set voltage (14.4÷14.7V)
• STAGE 7 - Absorption charge – after reaching the required battery charge level, it switches to constant voltage charging (CV) and the charging process ends
• STAGE 8 - Evaluation diagnostic - automatic monitoring of battery voltage after charging is completed
• STAGE 9 - Maintenance charge – battery maintenance stage (float) and monitoring its condition; resumes charging with reduced current if necessary.

Physical parameters

The device is equipped with protection: thermal, against sparking on the terminal clamps, against short-circuiting of poles, overload and reverse polarity.

The specially designed housing allows the charger to be mounted on the wall, saving valuable space in the garage or workshop.

The charging cables are 2 metres long.
